Howie and Jocelyn wanted something much more casual.

The coastal conditions that afternoon were unusually calm.

The area around Injidup Natural Spa can look completely different depending on the swell, tide and recent weather. Waves often move across the rocks and fill the lower sections with water.

On this particular day, we found a small pocket of exposed sand nearby.

It was not a beach I had planned as part of the itinerary, and it is not something couples should expect to find every time they visit. The coastline had simply created an opportunity for us that afternoon.

We used the sandy area to finish the shoot with a softer and more relaxed collection of photographs.

We may use the granite formations, remain farther back from the water or explore another suitable part of the coastline. The exact photographs will depend on the conditions we find rather than trying to recreate images from a previous shoot.

Safety always comes before reaching a particular rock or repeating a photograph.
